Resident Program

Canaanville Arts Center (CAC) offers a residency program that empowers both emerging and established artists to grow creatively, intellectually, and professionally. With a minimally structured framework, artists enjoy creative autonomy, enabling them to focus on their work, hone technical skills, and engage with a diverse community of makers. A CAC residency fosters shared discoveries, collaborative learning, and meaningful artistic exchange.

Residents receive:

◇ A semi-private studio space

◇ 24hr access to CAC’s firing facilities and equipment

◇ Opportunities to engage with both artist peers and the public

◇ Space to explore, expand, rejuvenate, and experiment with one's practice.

Resident responsibilities include:

◇ Assist with major events organized by CAC.

◇ Represent CAC at community events

◇ Participate in a yearly show of resident work 

◇ Donation of a significant work to CAC’s permanent collection.
